FIRST! (July 1st 2012)
I also 'introduced' two songs that are commonly sang in the States to them... Alleluia Give the Glory and Table of Plenty :) It went pretty well. Usually, they (the music ministry) would bring a little bit of Country flavor, but yesterday, we got some blues too!! and typical American mass - Big bouncy sounds of piano. I was singing Alleluia Give the Glory as a cantor For the First Time ! Hahahaha I think there's a swap. My piano playing is deteriorating, or maybe I was just surrounded by many great people; thus, I feel my piano playing was not as good as before. Plus I was asked to play on the keyboard not on the real piano. hahaha (you may call it an excuse). Then, here... my singing is more appreciated. I was thinking that my singing was not so good. Nevertheless, it's not about who's being the better or worse, it's just about the magic of the music, the miracle of Eucharist, and the beautiful bonds of friendship.
Ahhh... it brought me back to those times where I was actively doing service for the mass when I was in the States. There's this feeling about the connection of all the musicians, and the power of the music itself :).
PS: The songs that they usually play here are not bad too!! Love the Lord's prayer song...
Another FIRST - let's make it Double! (July 2nd 2012)
I was asked to come to the school today, and yes baby... "you're going to be a home room teacher of Year 2B!" said my "lovely" principal!

I was astounded!
My prospect students will be about 10 students and they are 7 BOYS and 3 GIRLS!!!!

I cannot get into the vision that there will be boys running around the class room! Geez... I had enough of shouting... So TODAY; the second day of July, here I am, at my favorite spot at my favorite coffee shop, typing all this while the brain is doing a hard work to think about the 'scheme' of my future class room. The class structure, how will I teach them, what are the rules, what are the punishment, are tossed around this head. It is still 29 days away of official First day of School. But, I feel it is comiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing soooooooooo sooooooooooooooon!!!!!!

PSS: another "first time"
I drove with my mom this early morning, I did my 'first' time parking with my mom, I went to eat Pangsit Mie with my mambo, and it was the First time she ate Pangsit Mie at the kios after a veryyyyyyy looooong time not eating at the kios. It was a GOOD MORNING!
Geez... I have experienced my "first time" multiple times this time hahaha... (mind my choice of words hehe)
Yes... first time has always been fascinating! :) New endeavor, new adventure, new challenge,
I quiet enjoy this...
