Menurutmu ini apa?
Hanya sebuah kue?
Jika benar, kue apa kira-kira?
Mungkin kamu bisa menebak?
Kuhitung 1...2...3..
Kukira tidak ada yang bisa?
Jika kau bertanya balik "ini apa?"
Aku akan menjawab "identitas..."
Kami menyebutnya kue delapan. Mambo kadang bilangnya Kue Keju Manis.
Sebab mendengarkan pernyataan sengit.
Magic happens when you don't give up, even though you want to. The universe always falls in love with a stubborn heart... - Jennifer Julius (a friend of mine) Still haven't given up :) I am praying for you, me, them, ... us...
Susah dipercaya, tapi memang begitu. Tahun 2016, uji kesabaran. Semuanya serba misterius, menggantung, dan pelan-pelan terselesaikan. Jadi, seperti apakah tahun 2017?
At least that was what happened
Either way, I have been thinking if I still have 300 more days to conclude what kind of year 2017 is. I feel good about it; though, these gloomy and sunny days coming and going. At least, I am starting with small goals. Building up what I am aiming. Little by little. So chin up Chen :) soon is February, nggak ada lagi lagu galau ...
harusnya... haha...
Ah Chen,... nikmati saja. Tidak usah terlalu terburu-buru. Nikmati segala perasaan; sakitnya, bahagianya. Tidak perlu terkaburkan dengan ketakutanmu sendiri. Begitulah caranya untuk menghadapi tahun baru.
As you may have read in my previous post, July was gone pretty fast as I had so many things to do. I went home for holiday, Office was closed for two days as we went to Batu for gathering, two days after that, I flew to Medan for the first time for a wedding. Snap snap snap... time flicks just like that. Not to mention, reports were awaiting to be done. Oh yeah... busy busy busy... One whole month, and not a single post. I am sorry for that.
Now, to conclude July and enjoying August , aaand welcoming September with a new spirit, let's dig in for "Currently" mode...
1. Songwise, I am really into spotify these days! Well, I was into it on my college days back in the States, but Spotify was exclusively only for US users only back then. It was just recently that spotify came to Indonesia. Hell yeah. My account is still active lol. I enjoyed the random play list given. My favorite discovery was Sara Gezarek. But, more Korean songs as well... I enjoyed HOMME's album so much. And yep.. finally I could discover more music. Rock on.
2. Dramawise, I am still watching current airing drama, but because of hectic schedules, I am a little behind, but now starting to catch up again. Currently and mostly done with 38 Force, and I don't know what to watch next. Since I have so many lines up. Perhaps trying some romance again Chen?
- To watch list: Let's fight Ghost, W, Uncontrollably Fond, The Good Wife, Age of youth, and Doctor Strangers.
- The review of 38 Force will be coming out soon.
3. Lfe itself. Oh wow August.
The 8th month of 2016 already.4 months to go and 2016 will be passed, new year will come. Do you remember that I was kinda down in the beginning of 2016?
Now, I am seeing the pattern... everything is becoming clearer, and I am feeling blessed each and every day. This year, it might be still early to conclude what kind of year it is, but I have a feeling that it a year that my dreams are slightly, and slowly coming true... It was subtly different from last year. Last year was definitely, a year full of answered prayers. How it is different from this year? Again, it all involved a lot of magical thing occurring. I would not go into details for the sake of conclusion of the year, in the end of this year; therefore, please excuse me to be a blurry describer... LOL
Oh well, I have been dreaming to go to weddings since I have missed so many weddings, and this year was granted. Coincidence or not, many of my closest are getting married this year. From Medan to Makassar. and I am happy travelling for these wonderful people's special days.
Continue talking about 'dreams come true' thingy, you know... sometimes... it might not happened the way you wish. Most of the things happening around me is not exactly what I dreamt of, but... I have no authority to be fussy about it. Haha, I believe He knows it better. Again, I am facing uncertainty, but I am not panic, I knew it would be an exciting ride once again, for whatever would happen. Because I have learned that let the surprise be a surprise. Most of the time, 'the surprises' are not far from what I have dreamt about. Nevertheless, a 'surprise' is still a surprise. That's how 2016 has been treating me. Little surprises here and there, small miracles here and there...There haven't been big events unlike in 2015, where almost every two months had at least a big event haha... All in all, I am grateful.
I am sorry if this isn't going anywhere, hahaha...
Oh well... next week is September, and I pinky promise that Strawbearies will be active again for its "isi kepala yang berantakan" posts; hence, the hectic week coming.
Whoa, it becomes a trend for me to write a 'Currently' post before the 'actual post' that I originally planned to put it up. haha.
Oh Well.
Maybe, I need to jot down things that have been happening recently to clear my mind before totally settling for the post I originally planned. It is less than 10 days before turning into July. Half way through 2016!! Can you believe it? And so much melancholy moments in the beginning of 2016, now, I am more settled, and see things more positively.
1. Traveling and traveling and traveling!!! OMG
Starts from April to the next few months, I will do a lot of traveling. Personal reasons not so much on the working sides. Working matters only about Surabaya. Not to other cities (thanks God). But, it takes a lot of time for traveling. 2 hours drive up to 3 hours drive, not to mention that I only go to Surabaya in the morning and going back at night time. It is quiet exhausting. Anyway... I am ecstatic that I am going to do more traveling for weddings. From Malaysia, to Solo, to the next destination which I will reveal it on the d-day. Just tune in. :) For these 3 people plus 1 later in Surabaya are my closest when I was in college. I am honored to be invited on their special day. I have to miss a couple of weddings in Makassar due to work and hectic schedule for the past few years, this year I finally can manage my time better, so I take a chance to travel for their special days. I am still hoping for a total leisure trip in the end of the year. I mean a trip without any work-related or wedding-related, just a pure traveling for fun. I have a couple of plans, but things can go unexpectedly. Well, Crossing fingers!!!
Soon, I will post about my last trip to Solo :)
2. Song-wise. I discover a jazz singer named Sara Gazarek, and I am a total fan of her music. Her voice similar to Sara Bareilles but with more jazzy tunes in it. Thanks to spotify and I am surprised that my account from 5 years ago still can be used.
3. less than 10 days, I am going to go home in Makassar. Finally!! I don't know why and how, but I have been missing home more these past years. Compared to when I was in US, I went home more often when I lived in Malang or Surabaya; nonetheless, I found myself more in 'homesick' states compared to the other years when I was living in the US. Perhaps, because it takes only 2 hrs trip by plan to be home? Anyway, I am excited to see my cousins, friends, and my parents again. and of course baby Euro, Gassing, and my super Echong are waiting for me..
4. Superman returns is now with a new format by having three dads babysitting three babies. This joint baby sitting is my favoriteeeeeee. YDG is super fun to watch and who is not falling for Oh Ji Ho's sweet smile? But, to my surprise In Gyo Jin is cute as well. I love the babies too. They are soooo adorable. However, since they are still babies, more fun on the dads part. lol.
credit to KBS
5. I have been watching a current-air dramas. Meaning more updated ones. I don't wait anymore for it is to end to watch it because I might be more serious on reviewing dramas. Tho, I certainly will keep watching older dramas too. Stay tune on Let's Talk. Currently watch; Dear My Friends, Oh hae Young again, and Six Flying Dragons. I think I am having so much fun on writing blogs (or typing). More fun than the previous years (after 2011). Therefore, I think I might be more active on writing again. I am open for translation and articles writing. You may email me on cvianeybudhi@gmail,com. I can write in Bahasa and in English. But, for now, I will be focusing more on my blogs. I have been thinking to add one more blog! (seriously, Chen???) LOL. It will be about writing in Bahasa; more prose, or short stories. But still thinking about it. Nothing to serious. Managing two is hard enough. Oh well, we'll see about it.
Next on Let's Talk - Extras (Actresses Edition) and Korean Rising Stars (Actors and Actresses)
Oh wow! I owe you so many stories. I have prepared two posts to be released, but I have no mood to release it. Lol. Prosticanation wins. dang.
I jump to my currently mood post first. Maybe, it can help to lighten up my mood.
May does not have so much of changes. Many travellings - more towards short weekend getaway involving only meeting and eating. Not necessarily a big adventure. True to the theme of this year, I will be travelling quiet a looooot. Half of them are for weddings. Yes! Wedding bells everywhere. Hitting 27 and I am feeling a bit helpless, like something un-accomplished just yet. I am not satisfied of what I've got now. I have been asking myself... "What's next?" and the answer is so vague. I am feeling like I am in the middle of midst, unknowingly stepping forward. It is a frustrating feeling. Because if I am just doing what I have now, it feels like I am just stuck.
Have been asking .."what should I do?" "what am I supposed to do?"
Perhaps because I am facing uncertainty again?
Many things I still want to do, and I have been planning things regarding to my current situation, but at the same time I know that in the middle of year, something else will be happened again. Bah! Things are still unsure, and I just don't like it. Half of my self wants to move forward already, but I am fully aware that I have to stay steady and make a move or do something when the time is right. Oh just another 'wait'
Bear with me Chen... bear with me...
Anyway, May! It is less than a week before it is June.
Half way trough 2016. wew
Currently
1. I have watched too many suspense/thriller less romance drama. I am feeling like ready for a romance drama again, but what a bummer I can't sit down steadily for anew drama that I am about to watch. My heart still seeks for mystery to be solved.
2. My reading ambition is also in halt. Sticks with 7 books in total for the #menuju20buku2016
3. in a full attempt to get back to 60Kg again and try to post blog regularly. Check Let's Talk, a bi-weekly blog about reviews of anything.
I owe my story in KL and a new series that I have been working on :)
I can't believe myself that I did not post anything in March. Not because I did not feel well. Things are gradually getting better to tell you the truth. More challenges. But I think it is gonna be a fun ride.
So here are my currently post.
Lee Seo Jin
Choi Jin Woong
1. Just to put an accalmation mark on how I like Lee Seo jin!!! More of ahjussi fans these days. Including Choi Jin Woong who stars in Signal, the recent drama that I finished. God Bless Kim Won Suk he is just one genius director alive. Apparently, Misaeng and Signal remind me of my very own sinetron (indonesian soap opera) titled D.T.K Dunia Tanpa Koma. It is a story about journalist world and drugs dealer. It was pretty solid. The casts are just amazing. However, it was a shame that the production is not continued as it was planned because the rating hit low. Come on!! Peeps wake up, dont' just watch those shitty shows on tv these days. I haven't been enjoying Indonesian tv shows for the past 5 years. It is purely a shame. Too much shitty, too much teasing, too shallow.
2. Many things are happened in Indonesia. Plastic bag costs Rp 200 per pieces, LGBT is going to be legally banned, and more blurs on TV because of cleavage and topless man. hahahaha ahhh... that's my country. Hopefully our generation and our president can do something about this very soon.
3. I am more and more excited about 2016. More traveling plans are set but not without challenge. It seems like one plan go one plan down. Consequences are awating. But I find it is interesting and challenging. I somehow feel high-spirited. Waiting for the actual things happen. does it go like planned, or does it go better than the original plans. we just never know.
4. Can't stop hearing 'History' by One direction. lol
5. I am officially an alien. I am not a big fan of the Decendants of the Sun. Yeah you can curse on me. My heart and soul is for UEE and Lee Seo Jin in Marriage Contract. I was so melted by episode 9. It can't go any romantic than 'trying-to-hold-on-more-on-your-hand' and a peck on a cheek while crying. lol
And It is April!!!
Hey dear April, my favorite month. I know you have been treating me well each year and I have a little hope for you to give me some magical April this year. You are exciting, and flowers bloom making the scenes prettier. Can't wait to see what is going to happen. You know that I will be traveling a lot again this year (within April). What is going to give me? Looking forward to it.
Whoa, I haven't been really posting up about 'Currently' thingy as much as before eh?
It is nearly coming to the end of October. Not so long till Christmas time. Oh My, time comes and wooossshhh... flipping trough. Here goes again 'Currently' post. Just 5 things that currently are the cores of Chendani's life.
I am currently...
1. SICK started Thursday 13th. I went home and did not feel well and it continued till the next week and my body broke down eventually. I took 4 days off. Stayed home, Bed rest. Through those sick days, I survived my own. I took care of my own self. Cooked for myself, slept, cleaned the room, hahahaha. I think I can write a guide book of 'How to survive when you are sick and live alone"
2. super addicted to Kim Phil and Kwak Jin Eon. These two infamous winner of Superstar K6 has brought me to another level of all the K-pop thing. I love the combination of the two even though they are not officially a duo group. Jin Eon was the winner and Kim Phil was the runner up. Both have sung various songs together and I am craving for more. Kim Phil with his unique range, not a falsetto, a bit husky, rock and roll and combined with the super low sexy voice of JIn Eon. Can't ask for more. I have been watching Superstar K6 without ENG SUB T_T. Can;t fully understand it, but I can take a gist of it ;). I never really watched Superstar K before but I knew the winners and they were pretty good. Many of them are my fave; Ulala Session, Dickpunks, Eddie Kim, John Park, and Seo In Guk. These two have caught my heart dearly. Both have sung various songs about 'encourage' not just a simple lovey dovey song with rap like what we have from K-pop these days. I sincerely wish that both would be around for a loong loooooong timeee in this cruel industry.
3. watching too much of Korean drama hahaha... It is piling up. There were dramas that I wanted to watch because of one particular cast was on Misaeng for I want to see how they are outside all the misaeng thing. Some, I just wanted to watch based on dramabeans review. And I ended up not finish many of them. But, that's not stopping me to have the next list to watch
4. refreshing my 'favorite things' when I am feeling down. These past few days were quiet a torment. Being sick alone is never been easy. You just feel all sort of feelings. I end up try to come up with a ' solution' of course.
- watching misaeng, when I am feeling suffocated -
- doing laundry and clean the bathroom to clear up my mind -
- make up and take a selfie with style -
- back to Elmo and get all the cuteness overloaded -
- Immortal Songs 2 on Saturdays...-
- listening to my playlist; Let's walk a little (Jung In and Gary), Reminiscing (Jazztronik), Love Recipe (Clazziquai), Just get away, you deserve it (Sweet Sorrow), Anhyeondong (Sweet Sorrow), Lie, Lie, Lie (Lee Juck), Exhausted (Kwak Jin Eon, Yoon Jong Shin, and Kim Phil), and Don't Worry (Kwak Jin Eon and Kim Phil, originally by Deulgukhwa).
- writing is always... a therapy -
5. having a regular 'homesick' syndrome. I recognize its syndrome quickly now. It's coming shorter than before. It is coming in the third month or so. Hahaha... Don't ever think that I will not have homesick syndrome since I have moved so many time. The attack is still here. I am still feeling down, negative, and all the stuff, but I think I can handle it in a better way. I don't hesitate to cry and admit the fact that I am homesick because soon it will be gone.
Should I say that I am not excited of coming to the end of this year? Honestly, I don't want it end too soon. Another year, getting older, maybe same situation with upgraded problems, and all the busy schedules. I am strangely not really excited of a new year. Whoa... am I losing hope? or maybe am I one of those grown ups that just live lifelessly? However, I still love surprises that life gives. You just never know. What will happen. It tingles me thinking that maybe next year there will be another crazy adventure like trapped in the airport because of volcanic eruption or a spontaneous fun trip? I never know...
maybe?
I think I will just enjoy the process like I have always been doing...
I love anything about Korean.
It is obvious isn't it?
I like Korean food, I like Korean drama, I like Korean singer, and variety shows. But, I am still the 'odd' Chendani who prefers something that is out of the heat. Anti-mainstream? Not really! But, I guess... I always fell over a drama, singer, movie, or actors that are not so known by others. It is always me. It works the same way with other genres. I generally prefer Indonesian movies over Hollywood movies. Same with this whole K-wave thing. While others love Running Man, I love 2days and 1 night more. While others have watched "My Sassy Girl"and claimed it as the best Korean movie, I chose "Seducing Mr. Perfect" and "My Father" as the best Korean movie. Yes! Both are starred by Daniel Henney. No... I did not pick it because of Daniel Henney despite his super masculine look (Yes! I totally fell for him), but because those movies brought so much more about Korea to me.
I am just saying that I love Korea Wave with a different current than the others. I can say that I was a little bit late, love something that is not really common about it, and I love the food because of the food, not because of Korean drama or whatsoever. Nevertheless, I am still one of the victims of K-wave.
As a starter, Korean drama was just like a fresh start to begin the K-Wave journey. I think every person in my age agree that we fell for Hotelier and All About Eve. Jang Dong Gun and Bae Young Jun era everybody! However, I was not really crazy about them, I just acknowledged that those were good dramas.I was not instantly getting into Korean wave. Instead, my mom fell for it so much in early time. She was madly in love with Bae Young Jun. She even joined the fanclub and flew to South Korea for April Snow screening. HAhahaa, yes... my mambo did it.
Ever since she came back from Korea, we were more and more into Korean food. I loved the utensils. I started eating ramyeon in a pot just like in the Korean drama. The first real Korean food I tasted was in 2006, in Brisbane Australia. Oh yes... I have been enchanted by the authentic taste of the broths and fell for Kimchi even more.
I think Korean drama and Korean food brought me trough all the K-wave journey. Then, in 2008 or 2009, I encountered Korean movie called Seducing Mr. perfect - casts; Uhm Jung Hwa and Daniel Henney. I could not remember how I met with this movie. Gaaah. I was in love. First, Daniel Henney was too hot. Secondly, the story was fresh and fun. Lastly, I bought the soundtrack. They were delighted. It took me to a surprise that South Korea has jazz (Of course it has the genre you moron!). The song was amazing. It brought me to a singer named Alex who is in a band called Clazziquai. Everybody else may love Super Junior or Boa, but my first favorite Korean singer was Clazziquai, an electro pop slash jazz trio. I instantly downloaded the whole album (OST). Well, I like Princess Hours soundtrack as well, but I was really surprised hearing this song. I am basically a jazz lover, so I did not need any other reason to be in love with it.
Then, it was my Korean movies era. I watched so many Korean movies including My Father (Yes, Daniel Henney in it again). My most fave K-movie. It was a story about an adopted Korean child who seeks of his biological parents. Daniel Henney proved his emotional acting whilst I admitted how mellow Korean movie can be. I discovered a Happy Sad Ending term here. It was enough to make me cry, but not because of sadness. It was beyond words. That powerful. (you may also check My Son, Little Prince, harmony, and Miracle cell number 7).
There were more Korean movies similar to this one added to my fave list, but anyway I think I have watched both these movies many times and still liked it. Then, it came to me the Variety Show era where I started with "We Got Married." It was all Alex's fault. He was one of the members and he was too romantic. We Got Married was so dreamlike show. It made one male and female celebrities hung out together just like a married couple. It was like a cruel show to make us 'live like a dream.' haha It was too surreal. They acted like a real couple even though they were not closed at first. Anyway, I was one of those who immersed into the show up to season 2. I haven't seen We Got Married for 6 years now (Yes, the program is still running). That show has made me know more about K-pop. The theme musics were so nice. Then, I knew about Yurisangja, Linus Blanket, Sung Si Kyung, Shinhwa, and finally.... Sweet Sorrow!
I did not love Sweet Sorrow at first. I thought it was just a skinny male group dancing and singing, but I was so wrong! They are so great in harmonization. Acapella and jazz, my dynamic duo. I would just love anything when these two involved. They got both. Enough said.
Wait a minute! I thought that I just met them in We Got Married show, but nope... I actually have heard them wayyy before We Got Married. It was in Seducing Mr. Perfect OST. The ending song. I thought it was sang by Alex as well, but later I figured that it was sung by Sweet Sorrow!!!. It was a very ear-catchy jazz tune.
More and more Korean shows. X-Man, Love Letter, Family Outing, and even Running Man, but I think I was so into Korean variety show after I had a tv cable at home. We got KBS World. Mammamia, Immortal Songs 2, and the cutest of all was The Return of Superman. I could see why people nowadays love Korean show so much. From lovey dovey, food, trip, crazy game, and heartwarming emotion. They all have those in the show. They put it altogether finely. All the interactions are natural yet entertaining. Unlike Indonesian show nowadays. It just makes me sigh... Full of trashy conversation and one's weak point. It is just unhealthy to watch.
X-man
Living without TV, I am depending on streaming show. Every week I wait for Immortal Songs 2 and The Return of Superman new episode. Both are my ultimate favorite show. I haven't got bored seeing those two. Immortal Songs 2 as I have posted in my other blog, is a complete course of what Korean music world can show. Through it, I knew more about the past of Korean songs, I knew more about the ability of those musicians, and how fun they are in the studio. They teased each other, praised each other, and moved each other's heart trough their singing. Many re-discovery here. Moon Myung Jin and Ha Dong Qn found their place in the music industry again after a long absence.
Moon Myung Jin
I also found new face of Korean music. A fun Rock band - Rose Motel, A husky vocalist - Jo Jang Hyuk and the Male Bada. Not to mention, the sexy singer, JK Kim Dong Wook. I watched them in Immortal Songs 2, and I am freaking in love with them. That stage has had many things happened. Fun rendition from Ulala Session, a story telling from Ali, and many more. In short, I know more about Korean music. Additionally, I was introduced to Korean Musical actors and singers. South Korea has many adaption of Broadway - Rent. (Please check the Barbettes, Im Tae Kyung, and Mamammoo). Not to mention, I begun to know all the singers from the past as well. Names like Yoo Jae Ha, Kim Gun Mo, Lee Moon Sae, Pearl Sister, Deul guk hwa. Haha, Ah I just love this show. It makes me to be totally in love with Korean Music.
Deul guk hwa
And this year is my Korean Drama year I may claim. I have watched more dramas than the previous years. I can say my taste is a bit stirred because of MISAENG. It ruins everything. Hahaha, After Misaeng euphoria, I was really picky about drama that I watched. Sometimes, I left the show without finishing the first episode, some other time I jumped from episode 8 to the last episode for the ending sake. Dang it. However, indeed. Korean drama is so popular. They are really well made. Every TV production has their own thing. We have a high-fashioned complicated story or fun rom com from KBS, we have twisted and revenged base drama from SBS, we have medium tone drama from MBC, and well-crafted drama fram tvN. It is just so dynamic.
In the end... the main reason why I love South Korean shows because it is heartwarming. From Superman Returns, to singers and songs, to KPop Star hunt, to drama.
I bravely state that K-wave is a beautiful disaster for me. It is just a legitimate note that K-wave has moved me to the point where I can't move anymore. Overwhelmed.
I am a fan...
that's it.
I put a list of my favorites for several categories for fun...

Masih bulan Agustus, langit sudah mendung.
Aku menengadah. Begitu kelabu.
Rasa kopi makin pahit
hati masih sakit
(singing in My Favorite Things tune - The Sound of Music)
Rain drops on roses
And I'm watching Elmo
Singing A B C with Abby Cadabby
Wearing a great dress and a pair of red heels
These are a few of my favorite things....
Cuddling my papo and Echong and Gassing
Playing piano till my fingers are aching
Laughing and eating and singing with cousins
These are a few of my favorite things
When the 'sad' comes
When the 'down' comes
When I am feeling boreeeed...
I have a weird mixed-feeling about time. I want it to be fast at some point and slow down at some point.
BUT! Now, I do have a wish for time to fly. I had a hair cut, and not into it at all!! I want to chop it off somehow, but at the same time, I am longing to see if it is long.
"Dear my hair, please grow fast"
I also want March to be fast as a blink. Guess, how I wish March to be fast and productive. These days been so unproductive for me. My reading list is hopeless. I haven't moved on to another book. None of my plan seems go smoothly, making me stuck and write rubbish on this blog again.
I currently am not a fan of anything. Not having any particular favorites for this month. Perhaps, because there were too many things happened.
Just let me enjoy the last day of February, watching Indonesian movie alone (again), and have more sleep.
Alright, writing this make me sound so lonely hahahha
Ah "di situ kadang saya merasa sedih"
#marineramaikanmemepolwan
Now, having 'es puter' and korean drama will be legit.
Selamat malam hati, apa kabarmu? Merindukah atau menyepi sebab sepi? Kau kira akan ramai lagi? Ternyata tidak begitu?
Angin malam menyapu, tanpa pesan apapun Bahkan yang diharap tak berkunjung Yang dilakukan hanya tunggu, menunggu, dan menunggu. Sambil kembali berharap semu. Kembali merindu...
Selamat malam hati... tidurlah... biarkan malam mengganti membuat melupa.
Remeh temeh, tapi entah mengapa aku excited.
Ah kau tahu...
Aku tahu surat ini terjadi dalam kepalaku saja, tapi bukan berarti this is not real right?
Desember, bulan terakhir di penghujung tahun
Desember, masa Advent
Desember, sebuah penantian akan tahun yang baru
Desember, wujud perayaan
Desember, adalah reuni
Desember, musim hujan
Desember, waktunya menunggu Mudik...
Presiden baru.
Baju baru dari kado ulang tahun. Resep baru
Ketemu teman lama...
Marahan sama pacar
Dan cerita-cerita lain.
Let me do this once in a while.
Impulsive trip to mall. Getting my cravings fed. Dimsum, starbucking, face masks, beer, 50% dvds, and Bonita and the Hus Band CD!
Have I told you that I am an impulsive person? Or may I add, do what I like, let my intuition decides. I sometimes need to let my self do things without further thinking.
Been "galau" for about anything these past 3 days.
From deciding what should eat, what to do after work, what to do while at the office. It means PMS is here! Anyhow
... I found my weekend kinda interesting. I hopped into a taxi after sweeping floor and washing my clothes.
What I did;
1. Starbucking to feed my low self excitement. Need sugar.
2. Fed my early hungry tummy. I feel hungry earlier whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I would eat lunch at 10.30AM, dinner at 3.30PM and late fruit snack at around 8 PM or so. Had dimsum and warm soup.
3. Purchased face masks. Been possessed by face masks recently. Especially when I feel tired (physically or psychologically). Guess what! 30% + 20% discount at etude house for his November. Got 3 of its masks. Although, my face is still faceshop kelp mask or aloe vera. Anyway... got discount.
4. Wandered around and entered disc tarra. 50% sign. And... I ended up go home with 8 dvds of Harry Potter series and Bonita and the Hus Band's cd! Both are on my wish list for a long time! I have decided several times to purchase the 1mill harry potter dvds, but the price is well of course expensive! But, what should I do? As a die hard Harry Potter fan. I cant abandon those pretty original dvds with 50% sign on them.
Then, I just browsed on letter B section for a little luck. I was looking for Bonita and the Hus Band cd on and off. Asked Tunjungan Plaza's disctarra and Galaxy mal disctarra, but had no luck. Ah. Today is just my day. Bonita and the Hus Band CD is standing nicely on letter B section!
:#£;×&!*₩'&$^÷&7@;#^*#(#¥?/€/(
Hahahahahahaa
I wiill let you know about Bonita and the Hus Band shortly on my Mabog.
Went back home and did these!
1. Cleaned bed and bath room
2. Garbage bye-bye
3. Cleaned the kitchen a bit
4. Took a warm bath with Wangsa Jelita's body oil. Trust me, you should be proud as an Indonesian. This local product is really excellent. Your skin is just relaxed when using this body oil. With or without mixing it with water.
5. Facemasking with drinking lemon water while checking Bonita and the Hus Band!
6. Beer with Harry Potter 7 part 2? Or 1? Or maybe 6?
Hehehehehe
Well this is my saturday nite...
Loner. PMS. Oh well...
I currently...
1. In love with Sesame Street! I dont know where has my childhood gone? Why do I become so crazy about it in the age of 25? Hahaha
It's fascinating how a song or act teaching kids words and language. Maybe similar to Unyil hahaha
2. In love with Elmo!!! It is weird if I like Sesame Street but dont like one of the characters
Yep. My fave is Elmoooooo
3. Currently drinking lemon infused water. Leading to healthier life. It works 😉
4. Currently reading Rumah Adalah Di Manapun, a travel short stories. Into this kind of books lately.
5. No more PMS acute!!! 😇
Been making myself busy if I am in a moodswing.
Can you believe that 2014 is almost ends? No more than 2 months left. Jiaaaahhhh...
Mari beri salam kepada alam
Yang mendengar dan mulai mengiyakan tentang impian
Akankah menjadi kebenaran?
Itu pada akhirnya berada di tangan
Memang cinta ada untuk dibagi
Semoga ditanggapi
Dan disetujui
Don't know what happened recently, but again, my brain generates memories about Minneapolis.
I am tired of telling you that once again those memories coming again. However, I think everything is happened for a reason. There is something that is needed to be done, to be solved, to be conciliated. It was a beautiful experience overall to be concluded. Nonetheless, there were also some flaws. But, in the end, if I may make a conclusion, I am :"school-sick"
Specifically, I miss moments of college. University life. What's so nice about it? I can't even say. Additionally, it's only a year experience, but it gives too deep impression.
My university life was short, I spent 2 and a half year in community college back in Seattle. It was nice, and it made me well prepared for my university life. However, my university life started in January 8th 2010. It was minus 25 degrees, winter time. I only wore 3 layers of cloth because I could not imagine how cold the winter was. I just knew that Minnesota has the worst winter, but how worst? Not too worst, I could still survive for 2 winters.
I stayed at Centennial hall, one of the student residences in UofM. I got to meet cool girls on my hall way, and met a very special friend, my super CA, Katie DiSalvi (now Katie Weiseman). Had a very fun time with PERMIAS and PERSISMA (Malaysian students in Minnesota). Found a wonderful community in Newman Center, though I missed my Sundays at 7 people in Seattle (Seattle Newman choir, for 7pm mass).
My first semester was Spring Semester, I remember that I had classes in all three campuses, got my morning and evening classes as well. I had my Asian-American History class in westbank, my animal science class in St. Paul Campus, and the rest of classes in East Bank. My adviser was named Elisabeth. She was nice, but my love was for Erin Walker (Shoreline community adviser). She was the one that helped me to go to University of Minnesota. One of the decision that I always be grateful for. That Spring as well was my first Indonesian Festival. I got to play angklung and joined band named SUMRINGAH BAND (Smiling band) haha. It was a good memory indeed. However, I was not really hanging out with them.
First summer in Minneapolis was the first time I went to Mall of America. I did not have much time during Spring time. Perhaps, I was too serious with school. I soent most of my time in the dorm and in no time I just realized how fat I was going to be.
In that Summer, I decided to lose weight, and exercised regularly as well. It was also my first time experiencing watching outdoor cinema in front of Coffman Hall.
Summer in Minneapolis was when everybody was out with their bicycles. I did not know how to ride one, two of my good friends always rode their bikes slowly to fit my walking pace. We usually went church together or went for lunch or dinner. It was just the three of us because the other Indonesians were going back to Indonesia or doing some internships.
Fall was when everything seemed too perfect. I lost nearly 7 kg at that time, got my first job as a front desk, and took video production class where we spent most of our class time in studio making videos. Yes, in that Fall, I was falling in love. A nice experience to change Chendani. I was not the same. He gave me too much perspectives that widened my eyes. He told me to think of other's perspective, let me know who I really was, accompanied me in almost every occasion, we encouraged each other when we had exams, exchanged thoughts, could not express more. At the same time, I met other great friends and hung out with cool people. I was also joining Peer Minister in Minnesota Newman Center, one of my dreams. Those people helped me re-discover myself, and made me realize what's good and bad about me.
Spring in 2011 was the toughest time. I was not talking with one of my closest friend, made my last semester was like hell. At the same time, I did not want to graduate. I felt clueless and had not enough time. I wanted more. While I did not talk with that person, I became closer with other friends. They even made my final "final week" was memorable. I always got invaders in my dorm room in final weeks. They thought it was convenient to study until late and walked to exam the next morning. Not forgetting, my good good friend, my fellow senior who went through that senior syndrome together. Without them, I could be broken into pieces.
Finally, May 2011, I felt too loved. I was the only one who graduated from College of Liberal Arts, but more than half of Indonesian friends were there along with my mom and her wheelchair, my handsome dad, and my cool uncle from California. They made me feel loved and special. However, I did not realize that my problem has made me become someone who hurt them. My problems; jeallousy, insecurity, have made me becoming so selfish sometimes.
It was pretty bad. Tho, I survived Summer 2011 and finally decided going home. In the end, Minneapolis becomes a wonderful experience but the scars have been made. Happy or not, they are there. I am not sad nor I regret things that happened. I do feel guilty, but again, Minneapolis has been my mixer bowl which has made me better with the happiness and sadness. It was one of my biggest life-change moments. Cant agree more that moved to Minneapolis was one of the greatest thing in my life. I am still feeling the same way...
So thank you thank you thank you
I know it is silly to blabber about this now. It has been 3 years after I left; however, it is good to look back sometimes. And I dare to see the past.
PS: After dare to see past, I talked to one of my good friends who used to be very closed to me, and I feel relieved...
☺
He mysteriously knows how to make me feel better...
